FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Proceeds from Upcoming Game to be Donated to Bronx Fire Victims.

RIVERDALE, N.Y. - Manhattan College Department of Athletics has announced that proceeds from the upcoming men’s basketball game against Canisius on Sunday, Jan. 16 at 2 p.m. will be donated to the Bronx Fire Relief Fund to support victims of the deadly apartment building fire on January 9, 2022.

The Bronx fire took the lives of more than a dozen people and injured over 60. Other tenants lost belongings and personal items in the tragic event. Funds raised will help provide support for the victims and their families and help distribute emergency relief supplies.

Manhattan College’s spectator policy will still be in effect for the game. All individuals will be required to show proof of vaccination, fill out Manhattan College’s Daily Symptom Tracker, and provide proof of a negative COVID test before entering Draddy Gymnasium.
