HAMDEN, Conn. – Manhattan got back in the win column on Sunday afternoon with an 83-66 win at Quinnipiac.

Manhattan’s (12-11, 5-9 MAAC) offense was clicking against Quinnipiac (12-11, 7-8) to the tune of 67-percent from the floor and 42-percent from 3-point range. It was the fifth time this season that Manhattan hit at least 40-percent from behind the arc.

Four Jaspers were in double figures, led by Jose Perez with 21 points. Josh Roberts, Ant Nelson, and Elijah Buchanan scored in double figures for Manhattan.

The Jaspers led 42-36 at the half before using a 14-0 run over close to five minutes to build an 18-point lead. Roberts had six in the run while the defense forced four turnovers and held the Bobcats to 0-7 from the floor.

Manhattan led 63-45 at the end of the run and did not lead by less than 10 for the remainder of the afternoon.

The 67-percent effort is a new season-high for the Jaspers. The previous best was a 63-percent clip against Canisius. Manhattan shot 77-percent from 2-point range on Sunday in Hamden.

Roberts finished with 20 points, which ties a career-high, and grabbed seven rebounds. Nelson finished with 15 points on 6-7 shooting. Buchanan was in double figures for the sixth straight game with 10 points.

Kevin Marfo led Quinnipiac with 20 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists.

The Jaspers are back in action on Wednesday at 1 p.m. against Fairfield in Bridgeport, Conn.
